Environmental Impact Assessment for A 9.5MW Independent Power Generating Plant (and Distribution Network) in Lekki, Lagos State

This EIA covers construction of a 9.5MW independent gas-powered generating and the distribution network of approximately 10km. The Plat is proposed to be located in Lekki Phase 1 area by the Lagos lagoon. Generated power will be distributed to captive off-takers including Lagos State Water Works and Street Lighting at Victoria Island, Ikoyi, and Lekki 1. Development of the project will be in two phases, with the first phase covering 6.5MW and comprising of three (3) TCG engines (totalling 4.5MW) and one (1) TCD engine of 2MW. 
Generated power will be distributed in a ring topological network using 11kV underground cable to captive off-takers including; Lagos State Water Works at Saka Tinubu and Ligali (in Victoria Island), Bourdillon (in Ikoyi) and Mini water works at Lekki 1. The off-takers will also include selected streets for lighting.  

The EIA was implemented by Triple 'E' Systems Associate Limited, however some present members of EcoPro including: Mr. Bartholomew Ndulue (EIA Manager) and Mr. Obehi Eguakhide (GIS and Socio-economics expert) were instrumental to successful implementation of the EIA.
